CHIEF’S MESSAGE

 For over 85 years, the men and women of Company 5 have been dedicated to serving the Upper Greenwood Lake region of the Township of West Milford, New Jersey. Our mission is to protect life, property, and the environment. Our purpose is to deliver high-quality service to our community. We provide emergency and prevention services through the efforts of over 40 talented and caring people. If you have any questions or comments for our department, please contact us via Facebook, email, or in-person during Monday night drills at 7:30 pm. We value your participation in the continual development of our department.

F.A.Q.

When can I visit the firehouse?

All community members are invited to join us any Monday evening at 7:30 pm. One of our chief officers will be available to give you a tour & answer questions.

Is your hall for rent?

No. All of our facilities are for company use only. We invite you to contact the UGL Ambulance Corp. for hall rentals. You can find a link above.

Am I able to request a pool fill?

No. This service is now discontinued across all of West Milford Township.

How old do I have to be, to join the department?

Here at UGLVFC, we accept junior applicants starting at the age of 16 with parental consent. Anyone 18 years of age and older may join at his/her discretion.

How do I join the department?

** Please note that all submissions MUST be done in person.** Applications for both Junior Applicants and Firefighter Applicants can be found in the join us section. Be sure to follow all of the instructions provided. Once completed, turn in all paperwork to a company officer on any Monday night at 7:30 pm. If you have any questions about how to complete the paperwork, we invite you to contact us in person during a Monday night drill.
